The Central New York Alternative Teacher Certification Program (CNY ATC) is a fully grant-funded program that offers an innovative pathway to NYS Initial Teacher Certification. It is designed for individuals that have at least 40 college credits and are currently working in classroom settings.
Driven by Governor Hochul and the New York State Office of Strategic Workforce Development(OSWD), the Central New York Alternative Teacher Certification Program (CNY ATC), bridges the gap between higher education and regional BOCES in a unified regional effort to combat the teacher shortage in CNY.
