One Credit Courses

In collaboration with the Health, Kinesiology and Sociology/Anthropology departments , the Extended Learning Office is pleased to share one credit learning opportunities available in the Fall 2024 semester.

Registration Information

  • All courses listed below are offered online. Please visit the course schedule for complete course details and current availability.
  • Registration is available via myRedDragon for all continuing returning students through 4 p.m. on Friday, August 23. A pin is required during this time.
  • Registration is open via myRedDragon for all students during drop/add week (Monday, August 26 at 8 a.m. through Friday, August 30 at 4 p.m.). A pin is not required during this time.
  • Registration re-opens on Monday, October 14 for any remaining seats in 2nd quarter courses.

Based on mindfulness-based stress reduction and adapted to the athletic context, Mindful Sport Performance Enhancement (MSPE) is the leading mindfulness-based mental training program for athletes and coaches. This class emphasizes learning, engaging, and practicing core mindfulness skills in ways that minimize their integration into practice, competition, and daily life.

An overview of the history and current state of incarceration in the United States. Examines the inequalities of the penal system, recidivism rates, solitary confinement, and the private prison system.
