A reception to celebrate the sculpture exhibition “Brockway Road Pour” will be held in the Beard Building Gallery at Main Street SUNY Cortland, 9 Main St., on Thursday, Dec. 3.

Stacey A. Goldyn-Moller, the director of alumni affairs at Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y., will join SUNY Cortland as executive director of alumni affairs on Monday, Dec. 14.

On Sunday, Nov. 22, SUNY Cortland student-athletes and staff once again boxed up and hand delivered turkeys and all of the fixings for 17 Thanksgiving meals for needy families in Cortland County.

The Association of Council Members and College Trustees of SUNY (ACT) recently selected SUNY Cortland junior biomedical sciences major Thomas Malikowski to receive its prestigious ACT for Excellence Scholarships. Malikowski of Fredonia, N.Y., was among only four students statewide to be honored with the $750 competitive scholarship.

A panel of recreation educators and advocates for persons with disabilities will present information and answer questions about the newly created New York State Inclusive Recreation Resource Center (NYSIRRC) on Thursday, Dec. 3, at SUNY Cortland.

In an effort to reduce smoking among college students, SUNY Cortland will partner with the Onondaga County Health Department (OCHD) through the Colleges for Change (C4C) program aimed at limiting where and how tobacco products are used, promoted, advertised and sold. The program also advances local action to prevent and reduce tobacco use.

The SUNY Cortland College Council will hold its next regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, Nov. 16, at 4 p.m. in Miller Building, Room 405.

U.S. Army Reserves Major Richard Brown ’90 will be the guest speaker at a Veterans Day Ceremony at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 10, in Old Main Brown Auditorium.

Thirty-five members, site supervisors and guests celebrated the contributions of the federally supported AmeriCorps program based at SUNY Cortland on Tuesday, Oct. 27, at Main Street SUNY Cortland.

The defending NCAA Division III champion SUNY Cortland men's lacrosse team raised more than $2,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central New York, Inc., during its 2009 fall tournament Oct. 11 at the SUNY Cortland Stadium Complex.
