Update on Commencement Ticket Ordering

Update on Commencement Ticket Ordering

03/24/2014

Students,

First, we would like to apologize for the inconvenience many students experienced when trying to reserve their 2014 Commencement tickets this morning when our UniversityTickets site went live for the first time.

Second, we want to assure you that those technical problems are being addressed as quickly as possible.

Students who received pdf versions of their tickets in a confirmation email message before the site was shut down should rest assured that those are valid tickets.

Students who have not yet received their tickets will have an opportunity to order them again when the site reopens. We will send all students email notification of when the site will go live again as soon the glitches are worked out. We will give you at least 24 hours notice.

Some students reported that their credit card appeared to be charged multiple times for the same tickets. That was due to a technical issue that prevented the system from validating cards, prompting multiple unsuccessful attempts. Those apparent charges should drop from those card statement soon. Students concerned about multiple charges on their statements should email the vendor at support@universitytickets.com. They will make sure that the charges are not processed.

Thank you again for your patience. We will be in touch with information about the site’s second launching as soon as possible. Students with questions or concerns may email us at Special.EventsOffice@cortland.edu. Please provide your full name and Cortland ID number.
