Principals' Panel to Focus on Issues Facing Prospective Teachers

A panel of seven regional elementary, middle and high school administrators and teachers will discuss the expectations of school officials regarding student teachers, interviewees or prospective employees, on Wednesday, April 1, at SUNY Cortland.

The "Principals' Panel" will begin at 7 p.m. in Sperry Center, Room 105. Sponsored by the SUNY Cortland Education Club, the program is free and open to the public.

The school officials will discuss various issues and answer questions from SUNY Cortland students studying to be elementary and secondary school teachers as well as others who attend this event.

The panel includes principals Connie Filzen, Eric Hartz and Tim Heller of Groton Elementary School; Margarete Couture and Bob Waller of South Seneca Elementary School; and Alaine Troisi of Caroline Elementary School. Keith Goodwin, a Groton Elementary School teacher, will complete the panel.
