Memorial Library is your resource for technology and research materials, including books, journal articles, digital newspaper subscriptions, databases, and video. Library Resources
Memorial Library provides access to thousands of books, Ebooks and journals, including those in our Teaching Materials Center (TMC). Additionally, thousands of journals are available, both in print and via our databases. In 2022-2023, 210,410 searches were done in ONESearch, and 19,071 books, laptops and study room keys were checked out.
Research Help
Librarians provided Research Help 1,525 times in 2022-2023 to members of the SUNY Cortland community, including drop-in help at the Research Help Desk, online chat, email, appointments, texting, and phone calls. Members of the SUNY Cortland community can chat online with a librarian 24/7.
Spaces
Memorial Library offers group study rooms, study carrels, the Teaching Materials Center, the Bookmark Cafe and other spaces. A map of Memorial Library is available in this page's navigation menu. This map includes the locations for offices of Advisement and Transition and the Access Technology Lab.
Library Instruction
Librarians taught 353 information literacy classes in 2022-2023, reaching 7,074 students. Librarians partner with faculty to teach foundational information literacy skills as well as advanced resources and strategies specific to students' majors.
Technology
Access to campus Wi-Fi is available throughout Memorial Library, and The Help Center can help with circulation and technology questions. There are computer labs, and WEPA printers available and students can borrow laptops.
