Integrated Studies

Finish your college degree online

The Integrated Studies Program (IGS) at SUNY Cortland is designed for students who earned credits, including up to an associate degree, or who want to use prior learning experience for credit. It supports students who:

  • Are looking to complete all their coursework online.
  • Have full-time work obligations.
  • Have prior experience in their career, military service or alternative education and are seeking to earn transfer credit for it.

In the IGS Program, you will:

  • Utilize the varied resources of SUNY Cortland to build your personal brand and professional network.
  • Showcase the National Association of Colleges and Employers career readiness competencies to current and future employers.
  • Apply experiential learning towards your current career, or alternatively explore a whole new profession with the support of faculty and staff.

Benefits of Integrated Studies

Affordability

You can shorten the length of time and cost of your degree by maximizing transfer credits, and applying for credit for prior learning. Military Service, work experience and earned licenses and certifications are just a few examples of how you can get more credits for significantly reduced cost.

Flexibility

Integrated Studies courses are offered online asynchronously, meaning that all classwork is conducted online and there are no regularly scheduled meeting times. This offers you the ability to work on content at your own pace and still have access to faculty.

Support

Our faculty and staff for Integrated Studies are prepared to work with you in a variety of ways. Whether by phone call, virtual meeting or in-person office hour appointment, you will have full access to both the virtual and physical SUNY Cortland campus.
