Trailblazers

Adirondack Trail Blazers Program

The five-day program will run from Aug. 17-21, 2025, the week before classes begin for the semester. Adirondack Trail Blazers is open to all SUNY Cortland freshman or transfer students. The program will meet on campus, then transition to one of our outdoor education facilities on Raquette Lake in the heart of the beautiful Adirondack Mountains. Activities at Raquette will include hiking, climbing, and canoeing, no experience necessary!

The cost of the program is $475 and includes your camping equipment, food, room and transportation throughout the course.

Space is limited, so you are highly encouraged to register early, beginning May 1, ensuring your acceptance. The registration page can be accessed through the purchase portal on the SLC main page.

Adirondack Trail Blazers is built around Cortland’s tradition of connecting students and faculty in the outdoors. An experience at Raquette Lake creates lifelong memories, which many of our current students and alumni talk about frequently.
