Eight alumni who graduated more than 50 years ago walked in SUNY Cortland's Undergraduate Commencement Saturday as the College honored members of its Half Century Club.

Mary Ware served SUNY Cortland for 41 years. She has been designated as professor emeritus of foundations and social advocacy.

ASC won a gold award in the 2011 National Association of College and University Food Services (NACUFS) Loyal E. Horton Dining Awards Contest.

Seniors on two winning SUNY Cortland athletic teams won’t be able to attend Saturday’s Undergraduate Commencement because their teams will be competing out-of town.

SUNY Cortland’s Kente Graduation Ceremony, a commemoration with West African roots that symbolizes passage from higher education, will take place the day before Undergraduate Commencement, on Friday, May 20.

Deborah Dintino, a secretary I in the Political Science and Africana Studies departments and a SUNY Cortland employee for the past 29 years, was honored with the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Classified Service. Dintino will receive the award during the 2011 Undergraduate Commencement on Saturday, May 21, in the Park Center.
