Technology Upgrade Affects Records Access

A scheduled upgrade of the Banner system, which SUNY Cortland uses in the maintenance of its student records, will make these records inaccessible from July 23-26.

 “From time to time, Banner will create these upgrades to facilitate the technological enhancements to its software program,” explained Donna Margine, the College’s registrar. “This is the most comprehensive upgrade we’ve had in the last two years. Every SUNY campus that uses Banner has gone through or will go through a similar upgrade.”

Transactions such as student billing, payments, refunds and financial aid loans will be unable to be processed during this time. Access to academic record information, such as transcripts and grades, also will be inaccessible.

The Banner system will be fully operational on Tuesday, July 27.
