Forest Management Consultant Discusses ‘Restoration Marketplace’ on Oct. 14

Stephen Harris, a certified arborist who represents the company RPM Ecosystems, headquartered in Dryden, N.Y., will hold a seminar on “The Restoration Marketplace” on Wednesday, Oct. 14, at SUNY Cortland.

Harris, a specialist in forest resource management, will begin at 7 p.m. in Sperry Center, Room 104.

Sponsored by the Biology Club, the presentation is free and open to the public.

RPM Ecosystems grows 240 species of native trees, shrub and grasses for use in ecological and environmental conservation and restoration planting projects. Harris will discuss the company’s patented propagation methods, their involvement in environmental conservation projects and student internship opportunities. The presentation is geared to students and others with an interest in conservation biology.
