LOSS: an interactive installation
December 8-14, 2016

"This collaboration is a product of our coursework in Interactive Media (ATS 344).  Our objective was to build an installation working with interactive technology, and we created a space as a response to Jerome Tiunayan’s concurrent B.F.A exhibition.  As we discussed his work, the group began to collaborate on ideas about memory-making - and particularly on the feeling of the loss of innocence through memory - a main focus. The finalized space is a collection of our individual experiences from childhood in a family home setting that features a living room, dining room and work area. Memories are presented in various types of digital media.  The artwork is engaged through motion sensors and touch, and viewers are encouraged to assimilate the connections of memory, innocence and loss as they explore the space.  In other words, 'Please Do Touch'."
