Natalija Mijatovic: Wailing Waves

The piece refers to an emotional dimension found in old buildings as a symbol of transition between lingering past and new reality. Mijatovic explains, "Thin gauze-like veils shroud the cavities of a shallow structure, gaping open as dark eyes hollowed out by mournful crying. Waterfall cascades down the skeletal façade, foaming tears of lace and air."
