Campus ChampionAndrew Duval met Associate Professor of Physics Melissa Morris during his freshman year, around the time she received a NASA Emerging Worlds grant linking SUNY Cortland with Caltech and Arizona State. This hard-working research assistant has proven himself as an interdisciplinary student in physics, geology and chemistry. Andrew is on course to see his first paper published in a peer-reviewed journal, summarizing his analysis of volumetric core-to-rim ratios of carbonaceous meteorite chondrules, all before he receives his bachelor’s in chemistry at the end of fall 2018. It’s an accomplishment that should launch Andrew into a leading doctoral program of his choice.
