Campus ChampionSophomore Chelsee Brockwell accomplished a long-time goal in March when she organized a St. Baldrick’s Foundation event at SUNY Cortland and raised more than $1,600 for childhood cancer research. The Oswego native was inspired by Sadie, a two-year-old from her hometown with leukemia. St. Baldrick’s is home of the head-shaving event, an easy and fun way to raise money for a serious cause. More than 20 inches of Chelsee’s hair was donated and the Cortland Dance Company vice president’s experience is beautifully communicated in this poignant video, filmed by senior Sarra Snider. The former health education major also found the time to work out in Tomik Fitness Facility and provide feedback for committed weightlifting enthusiasts like Jason Krupka '12, pictured at right. Gentilcore contributes regularly to respected fitness publications and co-owns a fitness facility near Boston that boasts close to 100 professional baseball players among its members.
