Campus Champion

When Linda Battin, the manager of financial operations for the Cortland College Foundation, arrived at SUNY Cortland in 1992, assets of the foundation totaled just more than $2 million and few financial policies existed. Nineteen years later, assets have surpassed $21 million and the proper guidelines are in place. Through it all, Linda has handled changing compliance regulations with accuracy and integrity. She is described as the voice of reason on many critical issues. As a guiding light for all the College’s donors, she makes sure that their generosity is used for its intended purpose.
